  • What are anti-wrinkle Injections?

    • Anti-wrinkle injections smooth the appearance of wrinkles, helping to reduce the signs of aging. This injectable treatment is one of the most popular treatments performed at East Coast Clinic. We are proud of our ability to tailor this treatment to you and your aesthetic goals goals.

    • All treatments are provided by a healthcare professional with Harley Street training in Advanced Facial Aesthetics.

    How do anti-wrinkle injections work?

    • Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin which can be injected into muscles of facial expression to cause muscular relaxation. This can help reverse some of the development of fine lines and wrinkles. Post injection, the clinical effects usually appear after 3-5 days, reaching full effect within 14 days of treatment.

    • Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to gently lift and open the eyes, reduce frown and forehead lines, reduce crow’s feet, slim the jawline and give a well-rested appearance.  Botulinum toxin can also be used to relieve symptoms of conditions such as Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), teeth grinding (bruxism) and migraines.

    What are the benefits?

    • Anti-wrinkle injections help to reverse the changes in facial muscle dynamics associated with the signs of aging. They are a particularly effective treatment for lines on the forehead, around the eyes, frown lines and the neck.

    • There is very little downtime. Injection sites may be slightly red or raised immediately after the treatment but these usually subside within a few minutes. There is also a small risk of bruising around the injection sites.

    What areas can be treated?

    • Botulinum toxin injections are used mainly for reducing wrinkles on the face, particularly the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes but can also be used for areas in the lower face and the neck. Botulinum toxin can also be used to relieve the symptoms of hyperhidrosis when injected into areas of excessive sweating and for teeth grinding when injected into muscles in the jaw. It may also be used as an alternative to lip filler to give the appearance of a fuller lip. Botulinum toxin can also be used to give a 'non-surgical brow lift'.

  • What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Fillers are injected to replace lost tissue volume in the midface, cheeks and jawline, and to soften deeper lines and wrinkles. At East Coast Clinic we believe in subtle and gradual treatments that achieve tasteful results.

    How do Dermal Fillers work?

The Dermal Fillers we use at East Coast Clinic are composed of Hyaluronic Acid, a synthetically produced but naturally occurring substance found in the skin that is renowned for binding water and giving skin volume, structure and hydration. Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers are injected under the skin in areas of volume loss where they subtly restore the contours of the face. The body is able to naturally break down hyaluronic acid so over time the fillers are reabsorbed safely into the body with no lasting effects. These enzymes can be used to remove Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler if there are any problems encountered following a filler treatment.

What are the benefits of Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are an effective way of treating volume loss and deep lines with minimal downtime and fast results. At East Coast Clinic we aim to use Dermal Fillers in a subtle but effective way.

    What areas can be treated?

Fillers are particularly effective for restoring volume loss in the mid and lower face, reducing the appearance of tear trough, marionette lines, and jowls. We can also use dermal fillers to augment features such the lips, cheeks, chin and jawline.

  • What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are an injectable aesthetic product, made from purified salmon DNA, which have been purified and processed to be biocompatible and safe for human use. They have powerful regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties, making them increasingly used in skin rejuvenation due to their ability to repair, hydrate, and stimulate collagen and elastin production.

    How do polynucleotides work?

When polynucleotides are injected into the skin, they initiate a process called bio stimulation, which encourages your body to repair and regenerate tissues.

Polynucleotides stimulate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin. This leads to increased collagen production, improving skin firmness, elasticity, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Polynucleotides reduce inflammation and neutralise harmful free radicals. This makes them ideal for calming sensitive, red, or reactive skin, and for aiding post-treatment healing.

Polynucleotides also attract and bind water molecules, providing deep hydration to the skin. This enhances skin texture and gives it a plumper, more youthful appearance.

What are the benefits of polynucleotides?

    Skin Rejuvenation and Anti-Ageing:

Polynucleotides can be used to boost collagen and elastin production with the aim of improving skin texture, elasticity and firmness and help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

    Skin Barrier Repair and Hydration:

Polynucleotides can deeply hydrate the skin by attracting and retaining moisture as well as strengthening the skin barrier, reducing sensitivity and inflammation.

    Wound Healing and Skin Regeneration:

Polynucleotides help promote tissue repair for acne scars, surgical scars, or stretch marks and aid recovery following other aesthetic procedures.

    Under-Eye Rejuvenation:

Polynucleotides are particularly useful for improving the delicate skin around the eyes, which can be a problematic area to treat with other procedures and products. They can help improve dark circles, fine lines, and thinning skin and reduce puffiness and improve skin quality.

    Stimulate Hair Growth:

Finally, polynucleotides are used in scalp treatments to encourage hair growth and strengthen follicles and can be beneficial for conditions like androgenetic alopecia.

    What areas can be treated?

Polynucleotides are an effective treatment for a wide range of aging concerns affecting the face and neck. These include fine lines and wrinkles, scars, rosacea, inflammation, darkness under the eyes and overall skin quality.
